Re: Cloner + Multi-shader equivalent?

These resources seem to be offline now.

Any new solutions on how to pull random images from a file to use as textures (like Multi-Shader)

Filmic Dynamic Range "Color Profile Views"

I see that Cycles 4D supports Blender's Filmic feature that increases the dynamic range of a renders. Correct?

Cycles 4D does seem to be missing the color profile views section. Any plans to implement that?

Andrew Price's PBR Shader

This may have already been shared, but just in case....

Below you will find a Cycles 4D version of Andrew's PBR Shader from this series. I hope I got all the nodes right. https://www.blenderguru.com/tutorials/p ... torial-pt1

Re: Video as texture for emission object?

I think I solved the issue.

It appears that Cycles 4D can't handle ProRes MOV video files. It would probably be good to try to support them.

Video as texture for emission object?

I’ve plugged a video texture into an emission material on a plane. Looks great in live-preview. But the plane doesn’t emit at all when I actually render it out.

Any ideas?

Depth of Field in Reflections?

Not sure if this is a physics question or a bug report, but I don't think Cycles knows how to handle depth of field in reflections, or maybe there is a work around, or maybe I'm wrong.

Re: Cycles Unstable With Fairly Large Projects?

I have now tested video textures on two different Macs and one PC. I have tested on GPU and CPU.

The Windows machine can handle video textures perfectly on GPU.

Both Mac machines break the video textures (render as black) on both CPU and GPU.

Can I, like, "bake" a mospline animation or anything to make it work?

Re: IPR constantly refreshing

It's weird because it is not happening now. But it did happen earlier in my project. The next day it was fine.

Yes it does crash on cpu on the Mac 2013 Trashcan.

Motion blur makes some objects almost disappear (mospline)?

Motion blur seems to be making my MoSpline objects disappear. Even with really low settings. You only see the caps?

Here's a test

Re: Cycles Unstable With Fairly Large Projects?

When I rendered the same project on a Windows machine with a NVIDIA 980 it worked fine, performed beautifully, rendered all my frames, 10 screens of animated textures.

So, there's something weird about how Cycles/C4D works with 2013 MacPro "Trashcans" (Besides them being horribly designed)

Re: Cycles Unstable With Fairly Large Projects?

I quite sure it is the video textures.

When I turn them off, it works fine.

I even tried reducing the video textures down to 720p, but it still crashes.

It crashes on GPU and CPU.

I want to try on a Windows machine now.

Re: Cycles Unstable With Fairly Large Projects?

I'm pretty sure it is the video textures, but not positive. Any codec issues with ProRes 422? I did a control render with everything turned on. I got 60 frames. Re: Cycles Unstable With Fairly Large Projects?

I turned off the cloner and MoSpline, but it still crashed after 57 frames.

I'll experiment with textures next.
