Re: cyEnvironment IBL Light Path Split

Thanks Martin! I added it under the Quick Tips post.
And will ask an admin to delete this post to tidy things up - totally makes sense :D

Cheers,
Jonas

Re: Environment + Background

Yes it is! First of all you need two environment textures. Then use the versatile light path node as a factor in the mix shader to split the texture information. To make it work use the Light Path output "Is Camera Ray". Now you have one environment which is just seen in the reflection channel, the ...

And the easy node setup:

The Mix with the second shader isn't really necessary.
Most important is the attribute node.

Re: using mograph for falloff based colorizing.

Hey kasezo! Interesting technique - opens so much more possibilities :D Kinda stumbled upon how you can access the colors via the attribute node inside of Cycles4D. Here are my files: attribute_magic.png Cy4D_Mograph_Falloff_based_color.png Cy4D_Mograph_Falloff_based_color.c4d Object_Color_Attribute...

Magic X-Ray Glass / Quick Tip Remix

Hey Cy4D folks, I was inspired by the Quick Tips from Martin Wall. Big up for the shared uploads so far :-) Glad to see so much amazing work here that helps a lot getting started with Cy4D and unleash the engine magic :D I did a little mashup of different Shared Uploads. My goal was to achieve some ...

Re: Tri-Planar Texture Mapping (Node Group) UPDATE

Damn! I knew the cube fix would be a sacrifice for another node functionality.
Although from an artsy perspective, the seam blend looks very interesting 8-)

Think I'll give it another shot and try again without deleting the Node iny my step 2 ;)

Re: Tri-Planar Texture Mapping (Node Group) UPDATE

Hey guys, I somehow fixed this. I did these two things: 1. Node "0.5*(1-blend) » Corrected the Input to Slot No. 2, differed from the blender file. // This didn't make the big fix. 01-05_(1-blend)_node.jpg 2. Deleted the middle "x /blend (clamped)" node-group just before the "if n.z"-group in the up...
