xplosiafx container cast shadow

Post by Philip v w » Mon Feb 05, 2018 10:42 pm

Hi, my name is Philip. I'm new to cycles4d so i just followed along with a tutorial creating some smoke and flames here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3xq7I1FRtY Problem is the xplosia container appears to be casting a shwadow on the floor object and i cannot make it go away. Must be something very obvious but i 'm unable to see it. Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks
Philip

Looks like adaptive bounds little bug, move your ground plane down a bit and then back and the black patch is gone.

Thank you Martin, that does solve the problem though i cannot move the ground plane back to the exact same location without recreating the unwanted shadow. Hope this gets adressed in a future release or is this a long standing bug?

Philip
this is due to intersecting 2 planes. (even if it is a volume object)
move the volume container a tiny bit up (0.001),

Thank you for explaining this Mohamed. It's a very addictive combination, xparticles and cycles 4d.
