OSL Planet atmosphere (with scattering)

Post by noisyboyuk » Tue Mar 20, 2018 3:22 am

Hiya guys!

I've no clue what I'm doing with OSL but I had high hope that with this being made for Blender Cycles that it would work with Cycles 4D out the box. Would someone cleverer than I be kind enough to take a look at this and see if they can spot the problem with the code? I'm not getting any outputs so I'm assuming it's just not working yet (got OSL switch on in render settings and I'm switched over to CPU).

Here's a link explaining the amazing shader with some cool examples:

Here is a link to their shaders on Github:

And here is a link to the original shaders which this was based on:

Would be amazing if some kind soul could help me out with this as it has just come just in time to save me a ton of time getting the same results manually :)

Cheers!

Ps. Please note that no geometry is being rendered in any of the scenes. Oh and this is what it does:

Hi, I'm really not sure how to use them, but you can try yourself.
