Very new to particles and cycles but really enjoying working with them so far. I'm trying to create some "magic blasts" using some xplosiaFX to drive particles. I'm using an cyinstance tag on the emitter and have used some particle info to colour the particles. Everything is starting to get the look i'm after, however upon rendering for comping into some shots i can't seem to get the particles to have an alpha channel. I'd kinda presumed the alpha would just be generated automatically by the particles but the renders are just being output on black with no matte. I have alpha channel selected in the c4d render output settings but still only on black. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
