Just a disclaimer, I am new to the forums and to Cycles. Our company has recently got a licence and I am trying to get my head around the node system!
So in normal renderer I can just slap my material onto my cylinder and simply change the Length V on the texture tag to adjust how tight the coils in the rope are.
Using Cycles I cannot for the life of me reach the same result. I have attached screenshots showing my closest result and you can see the issues where the texture stretches and flips. Please note, I want to keep the object parametric.
