Small workflow optimizations

Post by der_flow » Fri Jul 14, 2017 9:05 am

Hi guys,

some small things that I think shouldn't be a problem to implement but would be good workflow improvements:

- On Render to Picture Viewer turn off the Real Time Preview
- When closing the RTP window it should stop rendering (keeps rendering in the background, which seems odd to me)
- When saving a snapshot from the RTP to the Picture Viewer name the image in a meaningful way (like Arnold, where you can see the sample count), also show the render times (also like in Arnold)
- Node Editor: in the Node List show the nodes while typing their name without having to press Enter (like in the XPresso node list)

Cheers

Flo

Pause on render was added in the second service update. I've never experienced any rendering in the background after closing the RTP. I like the idea of saving render stats with the image name.

Hm I'm on 1.0.0.214 on Windows 7, C4D 18.048
It neither pauses on Render to PV nor on closing the RTP.

Strange?

Strange indeed. In your RTP window under "Render" there's an option for pausing on render. Is that checked? If so and it's still churning during a render to PV, I'd bug it.
